RPSC RAS Exam Pattern 2020
The RPSC RAS recruitment process includes the three phases i.e.
- Preliminary Exam
- Main Exam
- Personal Interview
1. RPSC RAS Preliminary Exam Pattern
- Preliminary Stage is objective in nature and carries a total of 200 marks.
- It consists of only one Paper of General Knowledge and General Science unlike Two papers in UPSC IAS Prelims.
- Question Paper standard is that of basic Graduation level.
- Prelim Examination is only a screening process, and the Marks Obtained in the preliminary exam is not counted in the making of the final merit list after the Interview.

2. RPSC RAS Main Exam Pattern
- Candidates clearing the RPSC Prelims exam are qualified to write for Main Exam.
- Number of candidates qualify for Main Exam: Approximately 15 times of the total vacancy
- The Main Exam consists of 4 Papers.
- Papers are descriptive/Analytical in nature.
- Standard of Paper: GS-1,2 and 3 are of graduation level, and Paper 4 (General Hindi and General English) are of Senior secondary level.
- There is no Optional Paper in the RPSC RAS Main exam and candidates have to appear in all the below-mentioned papers.

Furthermore, each General Studies Paper will have short, medium, and long answer questions. (As per the RPSC RAS Main 2018 Exam Pattern)

3. RPSC RAS Interview 2020
- Candidates obtaining such minimum qualifying marks in Main Examination as may be fixed by the Commission will be called for an interview for the personality test.
- Interview/Personality test is of 100 Marks in total.
- While interviewing the candidates, besides awarding marks on the basis of character, personality, physique, marks shall also be awarded on the basis of Rajasthani culture knowledge.
- The marks obtained in the Personality Test shall be added to the marks obtained in the written test to make a final Merit list of the successful candidates.
